Dr. Ng Jet Wei
BDS (Singapore)
Dr. Ng Jet Wei brings with him a wealth of experience to Excel Dental with near 25 years of service in dentistry. Graduated in 1995 from National University of Singapore with Bachelor of Dental Surgery, Dr Ng has gained vast clinical experience practicing in both public healthcare institutions as well as private sectors. Dr Ng holds special interest in the field of implantology. He further pursued this interest and obtained a Certificate of Implantology from University of Frankfurt in December 2004. Apart from his clinical experience, he is also an active member in other areas of the dentistry scene. Prior to joining Excel Dental, Dr Ng held executive role in a Singapore-based multinational dental group for 8 years. Dr Ng also served as a Committee member in Singapore Dental Association from 2003-2005 and was appointed its Honorary Secretary General from 2005-2007. Dr Ng continues to contribute his clinical skills and experience in Excel Dental by serving the dental needs of the community.
Dr. Tan Ying Han

Dr Tan graduated from NUS (Singapore) in 2006, obtaining a Bachelor Degree in Dental Surgery with distinction in Restorative Dentistry I. In 2010, he went to United States to pursue specialist training after developing a keen interest in oral rehabilitation. Within 3 years, he obtained a Master of Science degree and a Certificate in Prosthodontics. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists. Currently, his focus is in digital dentistry. He believes CAD/CAM technology will bring the practice of dentistry to another level. Dr. Bertrand Chew

Dr Chew Shen Hui, Bertrand obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from NUS in 2001. He obtained his Masters in Dental Surgery (Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery) from NUS in 2006 became a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS). His postgraduate studies was sponsored by the NHG (Alexandra Health) from the second year. He is an accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and obtained the Fellowship of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (FAMS). In 2012, he also obtained the SAF Overseas Fellowship to further specialize in Implantology at UCLA, USA. Dr Chew’s experience includes being the Singapore Armed Forces Head Dental Officer, a Consultant at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and Jurong Medical Centre, and Visiting Consultant to the Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, Alexandra Health and National University Centre for Oral Health, Singapore. He was also a visiting Consultant and the member of the Oral Health Academician program at National Dental Centre Singapore. At the Faculty of Dentistry, NUS, Dr Chew taught the post-graduate and undergraduate courses in Implant Dentistry as a Senior Clinical Lecturer. Likewise, he is a certified Trainer for the Advanced Trauma Life Support Course (ATLS). He is also currently a Senior Visiting Specialist in the SAF. His clinical interests include bone/soft tissue grafting, implantology, dental alveolar procedures and upper wisdom tooth removal. In his spare time, he helps out at the community (such as overseas mission trips) and he holds an Advanced Certificate of Community Leadership, a joint program by the People Association and the Republic Polytechnic. He spends his time mostly with his family and his computer games such as StarCraft and team fortress.
Dr. Leong Se Mean

Dr Leong Se Mean obtained a degree in Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1998. During her undergraduate years, she was on the Dean’s List for the academic year 1994/1995. Her early interest in orthodontics was evident when she selected the subject for her final year project. Upon graduation, Dr Leong practiced general dentistry in school dental clinics, polyclinics and the National Dental Centre over a period of three years. Subsequently, she completed her postgraduate orthodontic specialty training in 2005 at King’s College London, United Kingdom acquiring both her Masters of Science (MSc) in Orthodontics and the Membership in Orthodontics (M Orth RCS) by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. During her training in UK, Dr Leong worked in various NHS hospitals including Guy’s Hospital, Kent and Sussex Hospital and Queen Victoria Hospital. Under the guidance of distinguished consultants, she gained valuable experience in treating children and adults with a wide range of malocclusion of differing degree of complexity. Dr Leong returned to Singapore in late 2005 and was appointed the Registrar and later Senior Registrar in Orthodontics at the National Dental Centre. Currently, she is practicing fully in private clinics as a specialist Orthodontist. Dr Leong obtained her Fellowship from the Academy of Medicine (FAM), Singapore in 2008 and is a registered specialist on specialist list of the Singapore Dental Council.
Dr. Ariel Guo

Dr Ariel Guo graduated from the University of Leeds (UK) in 2018 and spent a year working in East Yorkshire providing general dentistry services under the National Health Service of England. During that year, she took up the opportunity to volunteer with Dentaid, providing emergency dental treatment for communities facing difficulties with dental access in UK, and Teethteam, providing free dental screening for school children in the Yorkshire region. She has a passion for endodontics and restorative dentistry and looks to volunteer more with local outreach organisations. She also believes in the importance of patient education and loves involving patients in their journeys to achieving a healthy mouth! In her free time, Dr Ariel enjoys keeping her hands busy with handicrafts like embroidery or baking cakes (with reduced sugar of course!). She also has a soft spot for anything furry and enjoys spending the weekends with the family dogs, teaching them a new trick or two. It’s no wonder that her favourite place in Singapore is the Singapore Zoo, where she spent a couple of months working as a zookeeper before university and still makes it a point to visit the attraction at least once a year even till today!
Dr. Rubin Foong

Dr Foong Rubin graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2016 from the National University of Singapore. Upon graduating, she started her career as a dentist with Health Promotion Board and School Dental Services. She then joined NHGP polyclinic (Woodlands), providing primary dental care for the community. Before coming onboard Excel Dental, she gained vast experience in National Dental Centre (NDCS), where she rotated among the various departments such as Prosthodontics, Endodontics, Periodontics, Pedodontics and Urgent Care Clinic. These experiences have enabled her to develop her skills in advanced general dentistry with holistic and comprehensive approach when caring for patients’ dental needs. She was also awarded the NDCS Smile Award in 2018 and Singapore Health Quality Service Awards (Silver) in 2020. In her free time, she volunteers with a youth organization, enjoys hiking and spending time with friends and family.
Dr. Ng Zhu Wen

Dr Ng Zhu Wen graduated from University of Glasgow with Bachelor of Dental Surgery. She has experience working in different dental departments in Glasgow (Scotland, United Kingdom) and treating patients from various age group and social background. She has been helping our patients to achieve optimal oral health by providing patient-centred care and personalising all treatment plans to each and every one of her patients. Dr Ng’s cheerful and bubbly disposition makes her an extremely approachable dentist and colleague! She also has special interest in Oral Surgery, Paediatrics and Aesthetic Dentistry.
Dr. Max Ong
BDS (Singapore)
Dr Max Ong graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the National University of Singapore in 2021. He began his career providing primary dental care at NHGP Woodlands Polyclinic, before moving on to serve with the Health Promotion Board under the School Dental Services. He later took on the role of Dental Officer-in-Charge at one of the dental centres within the Singapore Armed Forces, where he developed a strong clinical interest in minor oral surgery and endodontics. These diverse experiences have shaped his ability to deliver well-rounded primary dental care, with a focus on gentle, painless dentistry tailored to each patient’s needs. Dr Max believes in creating a comfortable and stress-free environment for his patients, combining clinical expertise with a compassionate approach. Outside of dentistry, Dr Max enjoys staying active—spending time at the gym, going on long-distance runs, and exploring new sports after retiring from competitive basketball.
Dr. Aaron Soh

Dr Aaron Soh graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. He is currently a member of the Singapore Dental Association (SDA) and the College for General Dental Practicioners (CGDP). Upon graduation, Dr Aaron started out his journey in National Health Group Polyclinics (NHGP) for 2 years, providing basic dental care to the general public. He then moved on to practise advanced general dentistry in the National University Centre of Oral Health, Singapore (NUCOHS) for 2 years, where he gained crucial experience in dealing with a wide variety of dental conditions as well as managing patients with complex medical conditions. He then further honed his skills for 1 year in the National Dental Centre (NDC) where he served in the Prosthodontics and Periodontics department, managing patients with periodontitis and fabricating dentures for his patients. Dr Aaron strongly believes in continual development and regularly attends courses to improve his skill and expertise in the field of dentistry. He also tries to keep up to date with new and upcoming dental developments to improve the dental experience of his patients. He has a special interest in prosthodontics and holistic treatment planning as he strives to provide affordable and quality dental care for his patients. In his free time, Dr Aaron can be caught lounging about at home or working on his various hobbies. He loves making frequent trips to Japan for leisure to enjoy their culture and indulge in their cuisine.
